Subscription renewal and billing
Monthly and annual subscriptions
Both monthly and annual subscriptions renew automatically unless you cancel before the end of the current billing period.
The billing period starts on the day you activate the subscription
Monthly subscriptions renew for the next month
Annual subscriptions renew for the next year
To avoid being charged for the next period, you must cancel at least 24 hours before the current billing period ends
Example:
If you activate a monthly subscription on October 23rd, your billing period runs from October 23rd to November 23rd.
The subscription will automatically renew on November 23rd
To prevent renewal, you must cancel by November 22nd at the latest
The same logic applies to annual subscriptions, but on a yearly billing cycle instead of monthly. Please note! The app or Singa's subscription page may state that your subscription will end on a certain date. But if you have not canceled your subscription, this only refers to the duration of the current payment period. Your subscription will automatically renew for the next payment period after that date.
One-time purchase:
The passes are a one-time purchase and work differently from recurring subscriptions:
It is activated immediately upon purchase
It remains valid for the chosen period of time
It does not renew automatically
No cancellation is required. Access ends automatically when the chosen period of time expires
Card authorization
A card authorization means that the amount is reserved on your account, but not charged yet. The funds appear as reserved and cannot be used for other purchases, but they have not been transferred to Singa.
The authorization is temporary
It is released automatically if the payment is not completed
The release time depends on your bank and can take from a few days up to several days
Card authorizations are commonly used to ensure that there are sufficient funds available before the actual charge is made.
Why is the upcoming charge not notified separately in advance?
Our service operates on a continuous subscription basis (recurring billing). This means your subscription will automatically renew according to the selected billing cycle (e.g., monthly) until you cancel. The automatic continuation of your subscription and recurring billing are explained:
in our Terms and Conditions
before confirming your order at checkout
in the subscription confirmation
When you accept the subscription, you also accept that the subscription will continue automatically and that the payment will be charged according to the selected period without a separate reminder before each charge.
Why is this the case?
Automatically renewing subscriptions are a common and established practice in digital streaming and software services. The purpose of a continuous subscription is to:
ensure uninterrupted access to the service
eliminate the need to manually renew your subscription each billing period
make the service as seamless as possible
Since billing occurs according to a pre-agreed schedule, no separate advance notice is sent before each charge.
How can I manage my subscription?
You can at any time:
check your subscription in your account settings
see the next billing date
cancel your subscription before the next billing period
The cancellation will take effect at the end of the current billing period, and no new payments will be charged after that.
